The inspiration for my work are the many trade rifles and smoothbores turned out by the factories of Henry Leman and J.J. Henry, whose lowest-cost rifles sold for less than ten dollars when the price of a Hawken might be over thirty dollars in St. Louis -- and far more on the western frontier, where the ownership of a gun was not simply an American birthright but a matter of life and death. These plain rifles were sold by the thousands, to settlers, trappers, Indians, and others, prior to the Civil War. I don't claim to precisely replicate the work of either Leman or Henry, only to follow their lead in building a rifle that doesn't represent a huge chunk of a working person's budget.

You will be directed to a page from a file-sharing site and asked if you wish to download the list "Guns And Other Goods For Sale". The download is a roughly 3-minute process, possibly longer if you have dial-up internet. This function allows me to show not only what I presently have for sale but the actual status of numerous builds intended for eventual sale. Thanks for looking.
